Sunflower Seed Butter Cookies Recipe
2 cups all-purpose flour
Baking powder 1 / 2 teaspoon
1 teaspoon baking soda
sugar 3 / 4 cup
Butter 3 / 4 cup at room temperature
3 / 4 cup packed brown sugar
butter 3 / 4 cup cold sunflower seeds
2 large eggs
1 and 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla
salt 1 / 4 teaspoon
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking powder and salt in medium bowl.
In another bowl, beat together butter, sunflower butter, sugar and brown sugar until they have an airy texture. Add egg and vanilla. Whisk until well blended.
Gradually add flour, make sure to mix well after each addition. Wrap dough in plastic wrap for food, and refrigerate for 3 hours.
Roll the dough into tablespoon size balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Takes about 12 biscuits on a baking sheet on average.
Dip the back of a spoon into flour and press into each cookie to make it a little flatter. You can also use a fork to make a model on top of cookies with butter, sunflower seed.
Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. You’ll want to see the cookies carefully and remove from the oven when they look just a little less so. You do not want to burn the bottom of these delicious treats.
Cool 1 minute and then Place cookies on wax paper or cooling rack to cool completely.
