1 / 2 cup whole wheat flour
3 / 4 cup oatmeal (ground in food processor)
1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder
Tsp salt 1 / 4
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1 cup milk (or buttermilk)
2 tablespoons apple sauce
2 tablespoons oatmeal
1 apple (peeled, seeded and chopped)

Preparation method

Mix the flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Mix the maple syrup, milk, egg, butter and apple sauce in another bowl.
Mix the wet and dry ingredients.
Mix in the rolled oats and apple.
Heat a pan and melt a touch of butter in it.
Pour 1/4 cup of the mixture into the pan and cook until the surface starts to bubble and the bottom is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Flip the pancake and cook the other side until the bottom is golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
