1 ml of water pint/600
2 oz/50 g lens
4 oz/100 g cracked wheat
1 tsp. pepper
1 large onion
C. 1 Tea. ground cumin
a few sprigs of parsley

Preparation method

Wash and rinse the lentils. Boil in water and a little salt until tender. Add bulgur and soak for 1 hour. Water should be completely absorbed, forming a wet paste. Meanwhile, fry the finely chopped onion in a nonstick skillet until transparent, add 1 c. soup. water, paprika, cumin and chopped parsley. Combine the paste of lentils in a bowl with onions and spices, knead for 2-3 minutes. Shape into small cakes about 2”i diameter and place on a tray.

Serve with a salad.
