Butter 1 / 2 cup
2 cups flour
1 / 2 cup granulated sugar
1 / 2 cup of strong black coffee
1 tbsp. freshly grated orange peel
3 c. soup. yeast
1 / 4 cup to tea. cinnamon
Teaspoon cloves 1 / 4
1 / 2 cup chopped walnuts
1 / 2 tsp. vanilla

1 / 4 cup to tea. salt

Preparation method

Preheat oven to 350 ° C.
Blend shortening with granulated sugar. Beat the eggs one at a time. Add the coffee and vanilla, mix well.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Gradually add flour mixture to egg mixture, mix well. Add walnuts.
Roll into balls slightly larger than the size of walnut, and place a buttered and floured baking pan (or use Pam cooking spray).
Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes.
While still warm, gently roll in powdered sugar and let cool. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar, if desired, before serving.
Store in an airtight container.
