Italian Sausage Meatballs


January 16 oz package of flavored Italian sausage
Baking mix 3 / 4 cup
1 / 4 cup finely chopped onion
1 / 4 cup celery, finely chopped
2 cups shredded Cheddar or Colby Jack cheese live
1 tsp pepper
1 / 2 cup apples, peeled, finely chopped
1 clove minced garlic (optional)

Preparation method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix all ingredients in a bowl, mix together to form the 1 “balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 20 minutes or until browned.

Remove from oven, let cool 5 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter.

Serve with cocktail forks or toothpicks.

Note: May be prepared ahead and frozen uncooked. To cook frozen: thaw on baking sheet for 15 minutes, bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
