1 tablespoon of flour
2 tablespoons instant tapioca
1 / 2 cup of white sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 cups unsalted peanuts
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained, juice reserved
4 apples, cored and chopped
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Preparation method

In a medium saucepan, combine the flour, sugar, tapioca, vinegar and reserved pineapple juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a large bowl, combine pineapple, apples, walnuts and chilled tapioca mixture. Fold back and topping cool for at least 1 hour before serving.
